A Charitable Society, INC was started by 3 friends/ middle school students Alyssa Reese, Chloe Brodie and Sharayah Powell.

After seeing the impact of the effects of the pandemic we decided we needed to try to help those impacted. We used the extra time we had during quarantine to work on a plan to help our community. We wanted to give back to those who needed help the most.

We first decided to make toiletry bags for the homeless. We planned a Lemonade Stand to raise money to make the bags. With the funds, we were able to make 100 toiletry bags as well as 50 back-to-school bags with school supplies for kids to start the remote school year with.

We then decided to make 50 Halloween treat bags that we donated to a homeless shelter so the kids there could celebrate Halloween even though they may not be able to go out to trick or treat. We also planned a Coat Drive/ Bake sale fundraiser to get new coats for those in need before the weather gets cold. We were able to donate 125 coats to the homeless. In February 2021 we donated 50 Valentine goodie bags to a homeless shelter, to spread love to others that may not have a Valentine. In November 2021 we partnered with Windsor Mill Middle School to host a Family Movie Night/ Can and Coat Drive.  With the proceeds we were able purchase additional coats, toys as well as donate 4 holiday dinners to families in need.
